Sounds like a weird thread, but I'd like to know what other people's silkies wings look like! Or even pictures!
I have a white silkie pullet from Rural King, so she's obviously not fancy quality or anything. She has no crest, but does have blue ears, five toes, and feathery feet! I've never had a silkie before, and I noticed that her wing tips are more like scraggly white feathers than down.
This whole thing sparked my interest and I realized I'm not sure what a silkies wings actually look like, other than they can't fly! Honestly just looking to feed my curiosity here

You can sort of see her scraggly feathers in those pics. When you spread her wings totally out, they're basically down on the half closest to her body, then feathers on the half farthest from her body! She was the ugliest little chick as well; basically just a ball of black skin with clumps of white down on her but I love her to death!

She looks perfect , my girls from a good breeder looked just the same, its the only place they have “ normal” feathers .

My silkies were a gift , now I love to pieces . Make sure you watch videos on how to groom them , their feet, cheeks, muff and butt need some tlc ...

Have fun

We bought a silkie rooster ,now that’s fun 8 inches of pure testosterone

Oh Yeah! She's been a lot of fun! She's our first chicken (we started with ducks this spring) and it's been interesting to say the least! She's been bathed once now and is probably due for another (she's got some crud around her legs and on her back) and didn't seem to mind it a all. She also comes when you call for her and is the only bird we have of our seven that will follow you without food, and enjoys being pet! She's awesome! Couldn't even imagine a rooster though! So much anger under that fluff :lau
