I've just hatched out a few silkie babies, one of them has bent feet. It's not just toes, but the whole foot on both legs. The feet are curved inward and appear
to be underneath the chick. It has been around 12 hours since hatching and the little thing, although strong, can't really seem to get around too well. I'm trying the bandage method right now, with "orthopedic" shoes made out of thin cardboard. Any other suggestions? We would hate to have to put it down, but if it can't walk like a normal chicken, that's only right.
