I have a 5 month old blue silkie that seems to get the brunt of ailments. This time she has a very large growth on her left leg. You can’t see it but you can definitely feel it. It has only grabbed my attention bc now she is limping. I hate that she is hurting. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Welcome to BYC. What part of the leg is it on? Would a picture show the skin over the bump? Could she have an injury or does it seem more like a feather cyst or tumor? You can give a small amount of aspirin for pain for 2-3 days.
It fills the distance between the knee joint to the ankle.

Is it hard like a rock? Soft like a water balloon? Or does it feel like there's only air in the lump?

How is her behavior? Lethargic? Appetite affected? When did you discover this lump?
I discovered the growth yesterday. It’s kind of hard but it does give a slight softness to it. Definitely not water or air. Almost like hard lumpiness. It’s not smooth. She still chirps and will eat and drink but does not walk around much bc I know it bothers her and she limps. I have her in her own cage right now away from the others.
I just lost a 5month old pullet yesterday as well from no apparent cause. But all of my girls seem to be acting normal otherwise.

Have you noticed an respiratory symptoms in your flock? Bubbly eyes, leaky nares, sneezing, coughing?
Not really. Everyone seems all good. I have 2, 1+ Year old hens with my older pullets. One of my older girls would have a random sneeze but that’s it. They are all acting normal.

Her leg also felt warm to the touch.
