Hi, I recently incubated 10 silkie eggs… 7 hatched but one has a spayed left leg. I’ve had chicks with spayed legs in the past and unfortunately they died, so I want to try my best to prevent this happened again. Up to yet I’ve used a rubber band with a cut size piece of a straw in between. I’ve been making sure the chick drinks often and the chick can eat on its own. If any one has any tips I’d be very grateful!

Try soething like this. You could cut the band-aid in half lengthways so it's thinner

That’s a real good idea! Thank you :)
No worries.
