Silkie with strange behavior - possibly broody?

We went to clean out the coop today and found our silkie sitting very quietly by herself in the nest box. I know silkies have a tendency to go broody, so I'm certainly not ruling that out. But what I found peculiar is that she was very unresponsive. I've read that hens get defensive and vocal when you come near them while brooding, but she let us pet her and only made very quiet cooing sounds. I brought some scratch in my hand to her (she usually eats out of my hand) and she completely ignored it. Her breathing is normal and her eyes are open and alert. Is she just broody or is there something else that might be wrong? Has anyone seen their silkie act this way?

I do not have silkies - but do have broody experience. How is your girl doing? Sometimes my broodies do not growl or peck me, they act like they do not mind if I "mess" with them - they do not leave the nest except for short periods of time to poo and eat/drink (usually once a day).
