Silkie Won't Roost Please Help!

Silkies can't flap fly like other breeds, so anything over 6-12 inches up is going to be challenging. It's best to have a step ladder type of roosts so they can make their way up.

Thanks! I will get onto building that for her! I knew that because she had down feathers, her wings can't catch air as well as feathered breeds. Thanks again for all your help!

Yeah they will drop like rocks, and can injure their legs. I have the same problems with my bantam frizzle cochins. With properly placed roosts they get up with the other regular feathered ones.
