I have a little mille fleur D'uccles hen, Sunshine. We had hoped we had a blue silkie hen, but he crowed at 5 months lol. We rehomed him, but it turned out Tinsel had fertilized Sunshine's eggs first! We hatched out two, and I cannot wait to see how they turn out. At 2 days old, they are pretty much twins. Both are dark blue, both have 5 toes, both have cheek muffs and beards, and I do believe both will have crests. I have a sneaking suspicion that there is a boy and girl (simply due to their stance and the way they act). And of course they will both have smooth feathers. Can't wait to see how they turn out. They seem to be the size of a d'uccles baby (tee tiny) and have the d'uccles attitude (or should I say ATTITUDE?)
Anyone want to share more photos of their silkie d'uccles mixes? (D'ilkies? Succles? lol Dukies?)

They are doing well. Very awkward right now lol, but I think they will be stunning. One is dark blue with a little tiny bit of red leakage on the neck. Hoping she is a girl. The other is lighter blue with a gold collar. Pretty sure he's a boy!

Cluckcluck1215, thanks! The black hen with the silvery head is Evelyn, my Serama.

Lol just noticed the ugly feet. Generally they have gorgeous blue feet feathers. However, it rained today so they got wet in the yard. They have huge duccles type feathers on their feet.

Very pretty. I have Silkies but have heard good things about d'uccle personality and have been interested.

Yep the D'uccles are super intelligent and generally friendly. These two appear to have taken after their mom in personality and development. Quick developers, very smart, very brave (always venturing off on their own but keep their mom in sight).
