sounds fun, kinda like a box o chocolates, huh? i have sultans and la fleche. my sultans r nice but i dont like there combs, not consistant or shapely enuf for me. i DO like the combs on my la fleche roos
i think ill cross the white sultan with la fleche and the back to sultan. Maybe i can get some black sultans eventually whata ya think?

We are doing this! We've had sultan hens and havent been able to get a rooster so we are going to use our black silkie roo and see what happens!

I know it’s been over a decade, but I was wondering how this turned out. I’m only starting but three generations ago I bred, a silky to a Polish, and got a sultan so I imagined that the silky was already in a sultans DNA. Later in my project, I added birds that would produce a blue egg gene. So this next generation, I have the distinguished features of the sultan that hatched from blue eggs. I also have soaked chickens that lay blue eggs. I still have several more generations to work with but again I’m curious if crossing the silky with your sultan ended up, looking more like a silky, possibly with the V-shaped comb and white skin?
