Good morning. This is my silkie rooster Ricky. At first I thought this white feather was just stuck to his foot. But it appears it is his feather. He is 7 months old. Does anyone know why he has the single white feather on his foot?

My roo has the same quirk. I don't know exactly why they do. I think it's because they used to be angels and they kept one white feather.
Oh and here's Hamlet:

He is beautiful! I got Ricky hoping for a hen. Lol. Now I can't get rid of him. He has such a personality!

Hamlet is about 9-10 months old. My family loves him too. He was sick but pulled through excellently. "Roxanne" is not his name anymore, after he was the first to crow. He's even crowing as I type. Silly roo.

Mine crows all day long. And the way kicks his foot out to the side really fast, he's just really cool. He was born in April so he's like 7 months old. He is shorter and smaller than my polish which is shocking. Are they all that small? He mounts the Polish, the Americana, but he cannot get even with a running start, the Delaware hen. It is so funny

I guess I wouldn't know about the size. Your rooster is three months younger than mine but his facial garments are way bigger! I have another one, Carl, but he is a scaredy-cat.

I actually had 3 but my favorite chicken passed away.

Thanks! Thunder was my favorite chicken. He was incredibly sweet and loving. He even came when called! Sadly he got sick and died. It broke my heart.
