could anyone hazard a guess on how old my silkie bantam is he has just started crowing well screeching but i know that doesnt help i got him from an auction with his two girls so am unaware of his age. sorry for the bad pics.

thats a boy... its hard to tell age, but I'm thinking he's probably 5 months old

If he has just started crowing i'd say 4-5 months but he could be a late bloomer. Hard to tell.

i also have a 4 month old wyandotte and both of them have started crowing in the last couple of days i think one (tried to crow)

and the other just started to compete thanks for all the replies i had 5 months in my head aswell his comb has JUST started to change colour as you can see.

My 2 silkie roosters started crowing somewhere around 4-5 months I think.

yes i think that alot start around that age but they can crow at any age (within reason) for example if someone seen the chick on the raising chicks section
