Ah, she's still getting used to you then. Give her time. And, about the peeing, they'll do that a lot. X3 Also, has she rubbed her chin on anything yet? :3

Rubbed her chin? She has hay for bedding and she's just "walking" around in it. She likes the corners. Both the parents are Rexes. I gave her a peice of cucumber and she has feed
 
Hey everyone, I am new to this silky breed. I just purchased a one year old silkie rooster, and found out very recently he is quite the jerk, he was fine for the first montb then started to attack the kids and i when we went in the run, i understand he is just doing his job but it makes my job very difficult. Mind you, that did not detear me I went out and purchased four silkie chicks hoping for better luck. They are currently 3 weeks old now and getting to to that awkward teenager looking stage.

Hi, welcome to my chat thread!!

I have a silkie rooster that is aggressive to other roosters (like a giant brahma rooster that I used to have), but he isn't mean to people. I got rid of a Sussex rooster recently that was mean, but afterwards found out there are ways to "un-mean" them. Someone said whenever they try to attack you, hold them on their back for a few seconds. There are lots of different ways and idea.

I hope you have better luck with your silkie chicks! Hold them a lot to get them used to you, and rub the bellies

Yeah, they rub their chins on everything. It's how they mark territories (aside from all the peeing XD).

Ive tried to pin him down but he swings aroubd and bites my hand pretty bad!! And they he dashes away and then i cant catch the butthead!! Im pretty afraid of being attacked so icarry around a rake when i go in... I was told throw a towel over him and put him in a sperate part away from the girls but can still see them. Any truth to this?
Edit: he is nice to the girls and he is the only roo in the same pen
