Pekin! From TSC. I'd have preferred birds from a local hatchery, but how can you resist those faces? I'll post a pic soon.

Go figure. Well my TSC only does special order so I don't have too. Seriously they've been set up since december and I've only seen chicks and ducklings like twice. (And I go there almost every week.)

I'm not sure. When I save enough money but I've got laying chicks coming in the mail in May (not chicks that are laying, but breeds that lay that are currently chicks )

Well that still doesn't make much sense- is there a type of chick (other than males) that don't lay eggs when they grow up?

Cornish cross. They don't even grow up.

I like RIR and want to get some again. Is the B in the astralorps to say Black? If so we have 1 but she is my least favorite hen.

What's a BR stand for? Is the Bastralorps to say they are Black astralorps instead of blue or white?
