Who doesn’t love silkies and D’Uccles? Why not have both feathers in one bird! This thread will be used to show the development of a new verity of D’Uccles. Silkied Millie Fleur D’Uccles.

These are the 7 little F2 chicks. They hatched yesterday. The chicks will be 25% mottled, 25% not mottled but carry’s the mottled gene and 25% not mottled doesn’t carry mottled gene.

Grandfather was a a single combed buff Silkie. Grandmother was a Millie Fleur. F1 chicks produced from this pair are “buff black tailed” recessive mottled + silkie feathers + vulture hocks.
