Silkies and Cochins

How often and when do they lay eggs?
We foudn one this weekend which we thought was really strange but I didn't know if they laid year round or just in the spring/summer.

Our Standard cochins lay year round better in the fall and winter than summer, they slow in hot weather and pick up in cold the short daylight hours don't affect them or the wyandottes they beat any egg production egg bird I know of.
