This is one of those posts where I used to post my stock answer.... "Not till they are 6 months... "


However after having a 3 month old Splash start crowing, I dont exclusively go by that any longer.

Although 4 weeks is still rather early. It's not really safe to ASSUME anything when it comes to Silkies, at least until it crows or lays an egg....

I used to have a hen who would give off the occasional crow. I know it was her, because she was in a cage by herself in the house.

Lil' Bit never crowed regularly; just once in a blue moon. She did lay regularly, and was a great mama hen.
