Silkies and the rain

Atleast at this point mine did not have the wisdom to go in out of the rain

They are all fine but it took putting them back in the brooder and blow drying them.

I should have read all these posts before running out into the rain (the first real rain we have had during the day since I got them last week). I got drenched, caught each girl (well, really, just leaned down and picked them up) and put them in their warm, dry, coop. Gave them lots of yummy food. But left the door open to see what they wanted to do. Yep, they are already busily hunting bugs in the front yard. Very happy, very oblivious to getting wet. I will keep checking on them if it keeps up but they seem perfectly happy. Only had them a week and am enchanted with their little Silkie selves. (They are 1 year old hens from a Craigslist ad).

3 Silkies hens- two appear to be lavender with buff heads, 1 black. Also 1 bunny, 1 border collie, red-eared slider turtle and American bullfrog who both moved in on their own, koi and a zillion swordtails, in suburbia on Oahu. No farm yet but apparently creating my own little "petting zoo". LOL!
