since it is hard to get my Silkies to roost, I would like to see how you house your Silkies at night

All the silkies I’ve ever had loved to roost. I place my roosts about 1.5 feet off the ground.

I agree with Brahma. I have the Formex Snaplock houses that the girls go into at night....both models. I have some that like the highest roost bar (which is probably the 1.5-2 feet height) and then the smaller model is just a few inches off the floor and 3 of the girls like that one (too lazy to jump up I guess ). The broody ones are easily removed out of nesting boxes and placed on the roost bars at night (I collect eggs in the evening).

Mine mostly sleep on their roost. Sometimes I find the odd one sleeping on the shelf beside it.
