silkies Crow

my silkie roo was born September 12, 2014. He recently has been crowing so as a fluke, I decided to answer him with my own crow sound. I crowed Beethoven's fifth symphony's first opening notes, you know... da-da-da-duuuuh. To my surprise, this silkie roo followed by crowing the same notes. I reward him with "you're a good boy!" And his crow after a good two weeks has not wavered. His name? Beethoven of course! Now his brother just sounds like a balloon deflating, but he's trying!

Seriously?! My silkies were born September 24, and I just heard one crow for the first time this morning. Was hoping for all females, as we can't keep roosters (except our sweet boy who doesn't crow), so maybe I will try this as a solution to pissing off the neighbors.
