silkies for cold weather?

I live in zone 5, however winter lows are generally in the 20s in the coldest months at night. Is this too cold for silkies?

Does this climate warrant "cold-hardy" breeds, or are we talking much colder temperatures necessitating these?

Silkies do fine in the cold--keep them dry, however, and make sure they (or any creature) have shelter available.
