Silkies in the winter

Are silkies pretty good in the winter? I just get a little worried because they are so small!LOL

My Old English Game Bantam does fine and they tend to be even smaller than silkies. She runs around even in snow over her legs. It's funny how resilient chickens are!!!

Yeah! Just there feathers are so different! Like fuzz lol. tomorrow it is going to be -30! So I am trying to keep my coop warm with two heat lamps, and wood chips, with straw stacked everywhere apprx. 2 feet high! lol.

I think they should be fine if you have the heat lamps. Chickens are extremely resilient. You'll probably be a little chilly checking on them though!
