Update: we're going on 10 weeks now. The one that had the Mohawk in the original post above has now developed a pretty colored tinted mauve/purple comb and cheeks. The others are staying black so far. I don't mind if he's a rooster at all. Whatever it turns out to be is actually my most curious and friendly bantam so far
