Ok, I had to get the computer, my phone wouldn't post the pics. Take a look at the pics and let me know what color would you call Scootalu and if anyone has a guess on pullet or roo. And BJ you're right our chicks do look a like

I haven't posted in a while either. Here is a young bird I got when I bought my Buff breeding pair. It is the result of a Buff cock over a Splash hen. I have been told to call it a "Blue Grey" since it is genetically Blue(from the Splash).

A blue grey would be a grey, where the black is diluted to blue. Your bird does not look like a grey in these photos, blue or not. Very pretty, though

Well, I've found a home for him if (he/she) starts to crow. I'm still holding out hope. Today I saw orange spots coming through in the chest area, at 11 weeks I still haven't seen any roo behavior. I may just be in denial?!?!

I have a 10-11 week old tort aswell, looks very much like the one in the picture. And I so don't want her to be a him!!!! Is this all ways a set in stone fact that copper color on gray = boy??
