idk if a silver partridge /silver blue partridge is a different color but someone said my roo is a silver blue partridge and someone else told me its a silver partridge idk if these two are different colors

Genetic nomenclature. In this case, the black is diluted by blue. What you have is an e^b based bird with silver (probably, but not for certain) the pattern gene and a copy of blue. A silver partridge is the same except for the blue.

This is similar to silver blues, which are birchen based plus blue. And of course, birchen is a crow wing pattern rather than duckwing.

Looks like blue in the place of black to me?? But I'm not anything close to a pro. if more of the tail was there you would be able to see for sure. He's a nice looking bird for sure I all ways like the odder colors. I've also had a couple chiks that have looked orange ish red on the tip of their feathers. Only to latter turn true solid black? Again very new to chicken so i couldn't tell you why that happens??

Does anyone have any eggs their willing to sell? I've tried contacting 2 dif. people who had ads in the classifieds and no one's gotten back to me since Thursday and I'm getting impatient b/c I have eggs at home that I am waiting to incubate until I get the eggs I'm ordering in. I was hoping I could pay for eggs and have them shipped out Mon-Wed and have them by the end of the week so my other eggs won't be too old. I do NOT want BBS or partridge. I'm looking for rare colors. I do like red & white, but only want a couple of those. I'd like to buy 12-18 eggs total, please. Send me a PM rather than discuss business here in the thread. I told her heavy on the red, gray & champagne (she said her reds & buffs are in together but there are 3 gorgeously nice red roos in there, so I should get something nice), and she also said her grays and champagnes are in together in order to darken them (okay, that I don't understand?? I certainly wouldn't want those mixed together, but we'll see how they turn out. It's one of those things where that color is so rare in the first place, that you kinda have to take what you cn get and work it from there. Plus genetic diversity I suppose.). l told her a couple of paints thrown in would be nice as well. But she also has BBS & partridge and I can't remember what else. Her ad said she had silvers, but she didn't mention that color when she PM'd me. So either she's sold our or no longer has them. IDK. But my cochin banty's got mailed out today, so I should be getting them about a day apart. I ordered columbian (regular, blue, and buff columbian colors), regular calico/mille as well as blue calico/mille (chance for frizzles), buff barred, lavender, birchen, silver laced. She USED TO have reds, but no longer has them. I was hoping for them, but will have to find someone else. But that's gonna hafta wait b/c I don't have money to buy everything all at once.
