Silkies Of A Different Color

She looks to have excellent blue colouring--are you concerned about her having both dark and light blue? That is what the standard calls for.

Yes, that was my concern. I assumed that the lighter blue should be the entire body color. I guess I need to pull the standards and do some research. I guess I better hang onto her then. She is maturing into a very pretty girl.

I'll try and get a current pic of her, she is really much much prettier now. I'm hoping for an excellent blue boy. I think I have one coming along, but can't really determine the sex yet. Just a lot of wishing.

Hi, I am curious what you all think about the colors of these birds.

I have a bunch of "odd" colors and I really like them. They are fun to watch mature.

Mainly what do you think of this Blue Pullet? Is her color wrong? I need a newer, better pic of her,
her head is much darker than it appears here.

Here is another pullet of an odd color [to me]

A very strange color youngster. This chick has stayed the same color with no sign of changing.

And last...a funny "chipmunk" chick with a big crest.

The last chick I had like this is living at Elite Silkies and turned out to be a Black Pullet!!!!

I'm enjoying this thread, Thanks everyone for all the good pics.
