I know your post was about the chocolate chick, but I just have to say: those two partridge babies are just gorgeous! I especially love that darker one behind the chocolate colored chick in the first picture

Thank you! I am super pleased with this hatch. I posted more of the partridge chicks in the partridge silkie thread. Out of 10, 5 are partridge - and 6 of the 10 are vaulted (which I prefer).

There are black feathers coming in with white feathers all over but not symmetrically ifthats what you mean.

Yes, non-symmetrical. Another possiblility would be columbian. In splash, the wing feathers aren't usually solid black though I occasionally see a solid black. Other breeders may have seen more.

HI! This is my little boy "Pot Pie". He is about 5 months old. He has a few black spashes throughout but harder to see in the picture. What color would you say he is??? He was hatched out of an egg that was labeled paint. Please all opinions are welcome, I'd really like to know what color to say he is.

this one was is the one that everyone said was a splash welp i guess its a white with the silver gene.
