Silkies Of A Different Color

if his kids produced a lavender then he would be lavender split my friend got black rooster that look lil like that that is lavender split

both parents have to carry lavender to produce lavender

there is brown red cochins he could very well be a project bird like many other colors that have been bred into silkies. It's not impossible any color can be created I have seen so myself. Ever think you would see cuckoo silkies or mottled silkies? Many people have been working for years on different colors.

Ok I have to ask . If a bird is someone elses project , and you only have one how can you use it to start a project ? I'm not trying to be rude --I really don't understand how . I would think that if you like this color and wanted to make more , you would have to find out his original breeding and try to repeat it to obtain enough of a flock to begin to even start the process of true reproduction . Just curious how it all works ~~~ Tammy

these are Patty Pickards Black Golds.

Both are extremely hard to get right. believe me I breed brown reds! Its just dawnting to plan breedings out!
