Silkies Of A Different Color

This is Cocoa and I call her chocolate though that is probably not a correct term if there is one. Her body is a dark chocolate color and her beard and petticoat fluff is a lighter milk chocolate color. Does anyone know what color or colors would be best to breed her if I wanted to continue working on this. I really love it!

If it was me, I would breed her to black and breed the best offspring back to her.

With my limited genetic knowledge (I'm talking VERY limited) this was what I was thinking I would do. I had mentioned this in a private message to a couple of my friends here. Thanks so much for your suggestion.

Oh, and I love love love your big poufy bottom boy. He is a stunner!!! Do you show him and have you had any babies with him?

He has only been with the girls a few days so don't yet know if he's getting the idea. He's very young, 5 1/2 mths, but also very mature for his age so I'm anxiously waiting! Thanks so much for the compliment.

Note the large amount of black on the birds. You could work TOWARDS salmon, but they really aren't at this point, either in appearance or likely in geneset they carry.
