Silkies! Pictures Included!

I just got my first bunch of silkie chicks! I've waited forever for them! I'm so excited

Granted they're just babies, here's a link to my thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=472451 I have pictures of them on there if you're interested in seeing more, although at this point they just look like any other fuzzy chick... I'll be sure to keep it updating the pics though.

I have a nice mix of colors - I'm interested in seeing exactly what shades they grow into. I'm not sure if they're bearded or not... I would prefer bearded, the fluffier the better lol, but either way they are going to be gorgeous and I already absolutely love them.

Your roo is so handsome! Every offered really nice name suggestions. If you are set on changing his name from Lily, I really like Linus and Liam. I had a red sex-link X roo named Ginger. He was a REALLY LATE maturing rooster so for the longest time we called him by that name. When we heard him crow, we realized otherwise, and started calling him Gin.

She still lays like she is spring chicken, haha. She is a sweet girl. There are just some that you can never get rid of, no matter how hard you try. I have 3 of those. One is about 3.5-4 years old, she looks like she is 90

no longer lays, and if she does it's a soft shelled egg and the little toot eats it. If a chicken comes to me for attention, then they have a forever home.
