Can they? This question is about flooring. Getting ready for winter and the girls will be moved under cover from rain. Never had concrete floor before yhis year. How to prep? Indoor/outdoor carpet? Padded horse stall floor? They will have deep sand tray. Oh. Winter here is low 45. No snow. Mid-California

You don't need carpet in there or anything on the floor.
For the bedding you might want to look into the deep liter method.

If it's got a good roof overhead I would likely just do deep dry bedding (shavings, leaves, wood chips, etc) minimum of 6"+ deep and put some sort of short well around the perimeter to contain bedding (pallet slats, fence boards, etc). I'd also add 1/2" hardware cloth perimeter on that fencing, I've had a few silkies and they would fit right through those holes, not to mention raccoon hands
