I candled them tonight instead.......3 developing and 3 yolkers sadly my pure silkie is one of the yolkers

No. It hatched just fine.

It's the last silkie Im hatching from this rooster. There are two more clutches that will hatch in the next couple weeks that are the last hatches of the year.

I already have boys picked out for next years hatching. Two are already in their new pens because they need to finish growing up with the old men in their pens. Three picked out as definite keepers. I'll see who to keep for the last two pens.

I get it every now and then with my silkies. My half silkie rooster has it and passes it on to a large amount of his offspring when bred to EEs and ameraucana.
