@JedJackson we can try something like that maybe put some kind of handle on it to be able to pull it out with a stick or hook or something

Sounds like a good plan. Worth a try, anyway.@JedJackson we can try something like that maybe put some kind of handle on it to be able to pull it out with a stick or hook or something
Yeah, I would never eat an egg unless I knew how old it was, so I am glad you said that. It's possible they aren't even laying yet but either way it's a good idea to try a portable nest box. Also, silkies are prone to broodiness, as you probably know, so it could help with that.Yeah, right now we have no clue if they're laying or not, and even if we were to find them (with a flashlight or something) we probably wouldn't be able to get them without breaking them, and if not broken we wouldn't know how old they were.
No, they're unlikely to be broody in that case and they're probably too young now anyway. But for the future it's best to get the eggs so they won't try to set on them. Unless you want them to set.If they are laying Im assuming they're not broody at the moment because they do come out every once in a while and they go into the coop at night.
@Adrien515 sorry I didn't have any recent ones so I went out and took some.
