Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Silkies are a very popular breed. However they are generally very difficult to sex before 4-5 mos. of age. Sometimes you cannot be certain till they crow or lay eggs.

You may want to post photos at " what breed or gender is this," where experts will help determine what you have.
