Does anyone else have any different opinions or different reasons?

I find that the silkies I have- even the cockerels- are very docile and easy going. They don’t cause trouble. And they look funny when they run.

I have a flock of ten Silkies. They will fall asleep in my lap, and as I type, one is nestled on my shoulder. I was told that when you get them as chicks they can die quite easily, so I kept close eye and all survived. I must say that they are very hard to determine the gender on so beware of having to many roosters. They make great pets if raised right and taken good care of.
