Please see the attached 2 pictures showing my LITTLE Silkie chick, which I've named "Tiny." She (I know I haven't a clue if it's a boy or girl, but since I take "her" out and love on her every day, I've decided that it's a she, just because she's so darn adorable!

In the first picture, you see the arrow pointing to "Tiny," who is 3 days older than 4 weeks. Next to her is a chick who is the same age, who was raised with her. See the incredible size difference! Behind them both, are ONE week old Silkies, which are the SAME SIZE as Tiny!!!

My questions are:
* Is Tiny one of these "Dwarf Silkies?"
* Is Tiny ever going to grow?
* Tiny eats, drinks and poo pool just fine, but she does have a slight issue with her balance. She has to re-position her feet often in order (it seems) to keep her balance. Is she going to be OK health-related? Or does she have a brain problem that's affecting her growth?
* Can I enjoy loving her as a pet, or am I just going to get heart broken, because she probably won't make it anyway?

Any insight on her condition would really help me tremendously! As you can see, she just hasn't really grown but a couple of ounces since she was hatched!!!

This is likely a case of "failure to thrive." Sometimes they can grow up healthy but I would not assume this will be the case. My one chick that I've had with this condition was extremely small like your own and passed away at around 12-14 weeks :(

Following, we have a similar situation here. Dandelion is so tiny, a white silkie like your Tiny. She had splayed leg, which we corrected, and so much pasty butt. Today she seems well just still so small.
