Thank you! I messaged her just to let her know, didn’t ask for a refund or anything like that. She got ruder when I left a yelp review. Oh well, deff not getting any more animals from AZ homestead & hatchery. I was just curious on what happened with this “silkie”.

People like that get me a bit miffed. From where I stand (or sit, rather) that type of behavior was crude, dishonest, and extremely unprofessional.
There are, unfortunately, too many people like that.

I'm glad you at least like your bird.
More a credit to you being a responsible caretaker who takes time to appreciate your birds
(Not all birds are easy to appreciate.)

Edit to add - curiosity got the best of me and I looked them up (just to look/read. Not interact) and I don't know if they modified their listing, but there is "satin" hidden in some pictures and description.
That being said. As somebody who isn't part of the Silkie community, but has considered adding some, people generally like silkies because they're known for silked feathers... If somebody wanted a Golden Retriever, they wouldn't get a doodle... If I'm getting a silkie, it's because it's the only source available to me with the silked feather gene...

She's just mad you caught on and wants to cow you into accepting her lie. At the very least your bird is sweet and pretty anyways, hopefully you can find some actual high quality silkies elsewhere, I definitely wouldn't do business with her again

I would leave negative reviews on reddit too in Arizona specific subreddits. I sometimes search a company name + reddit to try to find really small company experiences and your experience would show up if anyone searches. Depending on other web results it may even show up without adding "reddit" to the search bar.
