Silkies?

They do make good mom's lol well until the babies are like teenagers, then if their anything like my Mango they can be very mean to their kids lol but hey, that's a mom job right? xD to keep her kids in line lol
Yea i think they have to be mean to keep them in line.

Hey, i was just wondering if you knew if they will go broody when temps start dropping? Looks like a early fall is coming here. Temps are in the upper 50s at night and leaves are changing color. Plus the pups are blowing their coats.

My Orpington is definitely broody tomorrow morning marks 3 days snd technically 4 nights! I will try and move her tomorrow night. So she is safe. Then give her a day to settle in there and give her the fertile eggs!

I had my Slikie raise my 2 Orpingtons lol their still to young to brood or lay eggs.
She is broody for sure! She got off to eat/drink and then another chicken went into the box she went in to protection mode and definitely scared the other chicken!
Hopefully i will pick the eggs up in the next day or 2!
