silkies

hi

just wondered how big silkie bantams get?? i have a selection of breeds. my smallest being a white leghorne and araucana. is a silkie that sort of size? ive never had bantams.. ive looked a pictures of silkie bantams and they look quite big for bantams. id like to get a silkie because they look awesome and are good broodies.. as ive got some small breeds im hoping a silkie would fit in quite well

any suggestions?

what breed is your largest breed thats mahooooosive!

i have a buff orpington that is 4.5 kg.. im not good with weight converted in pounds.. im a veterinary nurse and everything is done in kilos in england..

thanks for the help though i really appreciate it. so do u think a silkie bantam would get on with my smaller birds?

Silkies are generally very sweet and patient when it comes to mixing with other small birds. I use my silkies as foster moms alot. When I have to find space for chicks that are 6-8 weeks old-they go in with my silkies until they grow bigger

are they the type to stick up for themselves aswell though because i have 1 very dominant bluebelle (RIR X maran) hen who has a bullyish side!
