** they do have silkies...at Privett

Only thing is Privett has a 25 chick minimum order so no chance if you want a smaller order.

idk bout the rest of the people here on the thread but I search Craigslist from N. Washington down through all of oregon every couple of days for a long time and there are occationally adult silkies on there but usually by the time I call them they are gone. I was able to get 1 silkie adult no to long ago from there. I kinda hav had some regrets though because she is wild and very skittish. I should have known since the lady used a net to catch her but she seemed afraid of the chickens so I thought that waas it. She quiets down once you catch her but catching her is fun and she refuses to go into the coop with the rest at night so every night we have to either catch her or wait till dark and try to find a black chicken in our yard in the dark to put her in the coop for the night. And its not because she doesn't know thats where to go as we offten find her around the coop near the chicken door sleeping. And she is the top dog of our flock now so shes not scared of the others. We love her and are trying to work with her everyday but my point is you never know what you are going to on CL.

Are you specifically looking for hatchery chicks? There is a breeder in southwest Washington who sells on here - Catdance Silkies (BYC name is Kelar). I've got eggs from her cooking in the incubator right now and she sometimes has chicks in the auction section I think. You'll spend a bit more than you would for hatchery quality but you definitely get what you pay for... Her Silkies are absolutely gorgeous!

When we first started looking, I actually did call one of those coffee shops! When the lady said that it was a coffee shop, I started laughing and the girl was very apologetic!! I googled chicken hatcheries in Tacoma, WA. Hot chicks popped up, I thought it was a strange name, but who am I to say what someone names thier bus. My husband had a huge laugh at me!!!

I did call the Ghram Hay Market this morning and they did have one silkie left, so we went out and got her. She is either black or blue, the lady wasn't sure. We named her China (Chi for short). Thank you again for the information!!
