Silkies

Hi. I'm Jean in Paradise, TX. I just started raising barnyard birds a little over a year ago. I currently have 9 guineas, 3 laying hens and 7 Silkies. The Silkies are my favorite. They are so gentle and friendly. I look forward to learning more about caring for these new "pets" by reading this site.

I have only silkies and love them. There are great threads specifically on silkies (genetic, showing, etc). I have spent hours reading them and the information is priceless!

There are several dedicated silkie threads on BYC. You can find them by putting the names in the search box. My favorite is the Silkie thread, Buff Silkies, Only Partridge silkies,
