Silky Duck Eggs

Well you need a humidity gauge of some sort. I actually ordered mine from Holderread's and got them as an adult pair--cost me over $100.00 I've only managed to hatch out ONE of their eggs and that was with a broody muscovy.

i let mine in the incubator for the first 4 days then on the fifth and everyday after cooled them for 10 mins and sprayed them with warm water.

Does your 'brother' send out what he's been paid or traded for?

I am currently trying to hatch silkie chickens and have to wait for my next round of broodies to order more eggs.

Sorry I'm not helpful, I don't use an incubator.

Here are some great links one of the folks put up to help with small duck hatchings. He has Aussie Spotted. I bought a combined thermometer and hygrometer at Home Depot for $7. It is small and digital. My chicken hatch rate with it from mail-order eggs was over 75%. Would have been higher but I screwed up and unplugged the bator instead of the egg turner...stupid me.
