Silly question: Can a woodshed and chickens safely coexist?

Hi, my husband and I have a rather large prexisting chicken coop in backyard of the house we bought 7 months ago. My question is this: if my 8 b/o chickens will be taking up only one room in the coop, do you think it would be ok and safe if we stored our wood supply in the coop with them in a separate room? Would there be any harm in doing so that anyone can think of? My husband is very keen on this happening so we have dry wood for next winter. Thanks in advance for any help regarding this matter.

Well, some critters do get into woodpiles, but if the coop portion is secure, I don't see any problem.
