Silly Question....Do Cocks dust bathe?

My rooster only duste bathes when the hens are not around, I guess he doesn't want them see him bathing

I have several roo's and they love to dust. I have a big tub filled with sand and coffee grounds and the entire flock stands in line to get their dusting turn. FYI, coffee grounds are excellent for exfoliating the skin and also works great to keep the fleas off of them.

Vern won't dustbathe if he knows I'm outside. But if I surprise him in the dusting hole, he hops out and starts crowing like he's saying " I wasn't just lolling around in the sand like the GIRLS, I'm a MANLY roo, hear me crow?" I think it's a dignity thing...........Vern hates to look undignified. Yep, and he'd rather get stepped on than to hurriedly flap outta my way and risk looking undignified. I walk slowly near him so he has time to get out of the way without looking ruffled.
