Thats what you raised em for. I promise it will be the best tasting egg the planet has ever produced and wonder why you cant sell em for $5 a dozen. Eat it!

Not such a stranbe question however. The woman that keeps my house for me had a fit when I was about to cook the first egg. Her mother was an old time farm girl and was very adamant that the first eggs were not fit for consumption.

I smiled and ate it nothing wrong with it of course

I wonder how some of those things get started
