So I could 'tell' that I had a bird roosting on top of the nests or in the nests. Thought it was one of the younger pullets, not feeling confident with the layers yet, but I didn't do anything about it, often times they will get to roosting where they are suppose to on their own.
But tonight, I went down there, and when I checked, I see the smaller rooster, hmmm I think, that other rooster must be getting a bit more dominant and won't let him roost with the others, until I get a good look at the second bird, and it is the other rooster.
Guess they are not as old as I thought! haha...... it is kind of funny, but neither have crowed yet. They had a brother, who crowed quite a while ago, but he was invited to dinner with a coyote. Neither of these have crowed and they are a solid 4 months old. The layers must still be ruling the roost.
