We got 4 chicks from the local 4H when they did an Embryology class at my kids elementary school. We were told that they were all Pullets, but soon found out we had a pair of Barred Rock and what we believe to be a silver Ameraucana. This little one had very sharp patterns and reminded us of a little baby hawk. After doing a bunch of Googling we determined it was a Silver Ameraucana. Can anyone help me out with whether or not we have a Pullet or a Cockerel. Some things make me think Cockerel, but then others make me think Pullet. I think it has a single comb and the comb looks awfully light. We don't have another to compare it to like we did with the Barred Rock. I know that the two different breeds have different types of Combs, but one of the Barred Rocks was hatched the same day as the Ameraucana, sometime beginning of November which would make it around 12+ weeks and already has a pretty decent comb and waddles. We are really hoping she is in fact a Pullet, but would like some input from more seasoned chicken raisers :)
I can try to take more pictures once I get home.

I have found that Ameraucanas are almost impossible to sex until they either crow or lay an egg

You don't give an age, but I am going to guess EE cockerel.
I said they were hatched around the first week of November so I am guessing 12+ weeks or so. Not sure if that helps. I truly thought if it were a cockerel it would have a bigger comb by now, but again....These are my first chickens so I have no clue LOL

Oops, I apologize. I missed that. Welcome to BYC. Note that I said 'guess' nothing in the pictures presented indicates 100 % that it is a cockerel.

My guess is male.
But I am only guessing...I am not sure this is a silver am either.
