I have Silver eggs on the way plus some adult Silver and Smokey breeders. Two colorations I have been trying to get for years. Guess I better get the breeding pens cleaned out...using them as storage right now

That would be something to see!
Yes it would! And I'd love to see it in the next 5 - 10 years. I'm not going to say it's impossible, because I'm seeing Whitetail (deer) bucks being bred to grow 400+ inches of antlers. I've been an avid deer hunter for 40 years or so, and to me it's a dream come true for something I'd never have fathomed would happen. Likewise, breeding gamebirds (i.e. Bobwhites) to grow beyond the typical ~8 oz. size has been doubled (+ / almost tripled) in weight measurement.........hence the "Butler" & "Slatebelt" for example. Genetics "super-sizing" is a science that has become very popular. Where the many quail species will be (size-wise) 10 years is something I hope to be around to see!!!!
I will par-take in the thread jacking as this topic is one close to home. I no longer breed LARGE Coturnix but use to produce some of the biggest. If you ever produce a CONSISTANTLY large quail that has white flesh I will box up my Toyota tundra in a priority shipping box and send it down to you...at my expense...
Not saying it isn't possible....but wont be 20-30 years before we see anything in the 1lb and plus range CONSISTANTLY...there are always fluke birds but I'm talking always hatching birds of size.
