The Cochin bantam(= pekin) have a much more rounded tail and appearance.Your bird actually looks like a Splash Cochin bantam since it has much more fluff than a D'uccle, doesn't have the right body type, and doesn't have a beard or muffsI think you definitely have a D'uccle pullet. She looks kinda white in the first picture, but more like a Lavender or "self-blue" in the second. Lavender (or purple) is an actual color for these types of birds. Self-blue is a bit more technical, but the visual coloring is the same as Lavender. We have a Lavender D'uccle cockerel. He is 8wks old in these pics (he's the far right in the second pic).![]()
He has always been a bit bigger than the other chickens, and when he's postured, his stance makes him much more vertical..like flat or straight chested, compared to the others. If you look at him in the right angle (usually from the front), almost seems as though he doesn't have the rest of a chicken body...as if he has a human silhouette, of a man wearing overalls. I am new to the chicken world, but I have learned a lot, and I do believe you have the female version of my Lav.

Almost all Cochins from hatcheries have terrible body type. Young Cochins are even less round and fluffy.
