golden cuckoo marans have this genes ,
if they are French type they genome should be ER/ER. s+/s+( for the rooster ) s+/- ( for the hen. B/B ( for the rooster ) B/- ( for the hen ). pti1/Pti1 . etc.......................
if are English type ( noly in silver ) than tey genome i E/E . S/S ( Rooster) S/- ( Hen ) . B/B ( rooster B/- ( Hen ) Pti/Pti ( clean legs ) etc....................

you can not produce a columbian marans from a silver cuckoo rooster and a wheaten hen ,what you can produce is a silver wheaten cockerel in the second generation ,you can use the F2 silver wheaten to mate it to a black tail buff to produce F1 columbian .
it is better and time saving way to cross silver cuckoo rooster toa black tail buff hen . I m working with this cross now .
