I just had 3 SLB hatch. One i think is a roo.Hes more forward and unafraid than the other 2.He also has white on his wings and other 2 dont.Is that a color pattern predominatley male?Or random?

I'm not too familiar with this color variety of Brahmas, but I do believe the cockerels/roosters do have much more white on their wings and upper parts than the pullets/hens. I don't know if these color differences are apparent at very young ages like in Dark Brahmas or not. Pictures always help!

Regardless, even if all three are pullets, one will have to be more forward than the other two. In every batch of chicks I always assume the bravest is a rooster, but frequently they still are all pullets.

I really know nothing about Brahmas, but bought two a couple of weeks ago. Here are my two. They are a couple of months old. Their legs are very yellow. I don't know if they are pullets or cockerels, but I am being told they are probably cockerels :(

I think the birds should have lacing on their backs at this age if they were pullets--but again, I only have experience with Buff, Light, & Dark Brahmas and Silver-laced Wyandottes.

Regardless of gender, those are some beautiful Brahmas. I've been considering for a while about getting some some of the more "exotic" Brahmas.
