Silver Laced Brahmas

I have SLC a rooster and a hen and DB rooster and a hen

But they are old she laid her last egg which was fertilized last week they are 6 years old DB too but they bred together hopefully they hatch! If they do not I have to keep looking brahmas are my favorite and I really want one I already have a GLB but I prefer silver!

But a breeding project involving a direct outcross of breeds and such complicated patterns is going to take an easy 20 years to get anything that looks like an honest to god Silver Laced Brahma. Certainly at least four or five generations before you get anything that doesn't look like a straight up mutt.
It's doubtful SLW were used in any cross to create SLB (which based on a quick google search are only seen in the US as project stock right now) and I imagine that any SLB is going to have the same laying ability as your typical Brahma (decent but not great).

Good luck with finding them!! And if you do find some good ones, let me know. Almost everyone that supposedly has SL Brahmas, either doesn't sell them or they run all their colors together. I'm not sure how that would make any specific color & not mutts, but hey, what do i know? lol I have Gold Laced, Buff Laced, Blue Partridge & Lavender Brahmas & I have decided to make my own Silver Laced because I don't care for most of the ones I've seen. A few of my birds...
